PWJ was committed to carrying out the operation carefully, forming an autonomous organization of victims, collecting requests concerning their lives in the camp, and by dispatching social workers to help elderly people and women who were faced with numerous difficulties. PWJ also held workshop training regarding protection of human rights and earthquake-resistant construction, targeted at the earthquake victims and those who were involved in support operations. From April 2006, in accordance with the local government's policy to promote the return of the victims to their homes and to close some and merge other camps, PWJ provided buses to assist the victims' return. PWJ also helped those who were not wishing to return to move to other camps. The Tandali camp was closed in May, and this terminated PWJ's support operations in Pakistan.
